Ferial Evans (Trustee)
I have four children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. I was a single mother from when my children were very small. I kept a little smallholding with mostly goats and chickens. I sold homemade yoghurt and cheese and eggs. I also made celebration cakes and had a small catering enterprise. Latterly, I taught Cake Artistry. I was Secretary of the PTA and Parent Governor at my children’s’ high school and a Community Governor at the local primary school. I also undertook work as a freelance artist and journalist which I still do. Currently, I am Chairman of Little Bealings Parish Council. I also represent Suffolk Coastal on the Executive of Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) and on Suffolk LINk. I am an officer on the Executive Board of Ipswich Arts Association.
Apart from my interest in art and word, I seek to revive an interest in the art of public speaking. I write the newsletters and am publicity coordinator for three arts organisations and I write occasional articles for arts magazines and concert reviews for the local papers.
