From the time that Ipswich was founded some 1400 years ago, it was based upon manufacturing products. Those products changed over the years, culminating in a rich engineering heritage that provided employment for the majority of the population. This lecture examines some of these products and the companies that made them.
Tea and biscuits available – the kettle will be on the hob at 12.30pm.
Although admission is free, a retiring collection of £2.00 will be appreciated. This is to defray expenses incurred in hosting the series.
