There is going to be a multi page spread in the Evening Star week commence 3 November celebrating community action and local groups. It will also mark the launch of a new campaign with the Evening Star.
The cut off for any articles or adverts you would like included in the spread is Thursday 20 October - these can be publicity for up and coming events, accounts of the summer coach trips and fayres, thank yous to helpers and sponsors as well as adverts for any volunteer roles you may want to fill.
Anything really as long as it celebrates community action, promotes your group and educates people about why they should get involved / support! This is your chance to raise the profile of your group at no cost!!! There will be 4 - 8 pages of space for us to fill so there should be plenty of room!
There will also be the opportunity for your members and volunteers to take part in a photo shoot with local councillors to mark the launch of the campaign in SW - date and venue to be confirmed but will probably be week begin 24 October.

If you know of or are involved with other local groups in SW, sports clubs, brownies, guides, luncheon clubs - you name it please pass on the news and ask them to contact me if they would like to participate.
