Want to find out more about services in your local community?
Organisations providing essential services in Ipswich and district will be showcasing their work, at a Free event, open to the public, at Ipswich Borough Council, Grafton House on Friday 10th February from 10am to 2pm.
The event is being organised by Ipswich Council for Voluntary Sevices (ICVS) and Ipswich Borough Council who work in partnership to support voluntary and community sector organisations. These are charities and community groups who continue to provide important services to our community, despite the current challenges regarding funding and resources.
Kirk Jackson Volunteer Support and Development Officer at ICVS says “we look forward to members of the public attending the event as and when they can, to see for themselves the various important services being provided. There will be the opportunity for people to choose to enquire about how they can become involved—such as volunteering, if they so wish and find out more details about the voluntary and community sector in general”.
