Can Volunteering help fulfill your new year’s resolutions? |

The Volunteer Ipswich team of Karen, Steph and Kirk wishes all our ICVS News readers a very happy new year. For some, they will initiate this happiness themselves by choosing to volunteer – which can be part of a healthy lifestyle and can be very beneficial for your personal and employability development.
Volunteer Ipswich brokers an enormous amount of volunteer opportunities (over 200) within the Ipswich and Suffolk Coastal areas. We don’t ‘pressure’ people to volunteer – we believe in allowing people to enquire about volunteering however they so wish, which is why we are open to the public to discuss volunteering ‘face-to-face’ or people can apply via www.do-it.org where there are details on the volunteer opportunities registered with us.
There is an enormous amount of variety in the opportunities – the reality is some require specific qualifications and carry a considerable amount of responsibility, whilst other opportunities can fit in around people’s other commitments and dare I say can be very enjoyable to fulfill. We find from local charities and community groups feedback to us, they are very grateful for the support they get from volunteers – so volunteering really does make a very positive difference.
So, if you would like to volunteer or need volunteers then please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Karen Osborne or our Volunteer Support and Development Officer, Kirk Jackson.
