Volunteer Centre

Volunteer Ipswich promotes and develops volunteering in the Ipswich and District area and up until 31st March 2012, in the East side of the Suffolk Coastal area as well.

In general, we offer information and advice about volunteering in response to enquiries from individuals, voluntary organisations, community groups, statutory agencies, social enterprises and private-sector organisations and respond to requests for volunteer help from these individuals and groups.

We have a number of exciting projects and development s which members of the public are very welcome to participate in. Such as:

1. A FREE 9+ hour course which supports people to improve their personal and professional development through volunteering - in roles they choose and in a flexible way to suit their other commitments (there is eligibility criteria).
   
   
2. Become a Volunteer Ipswich ‘Ambassador’ – promote our posters and ‘menus’ advertising volunteering opportunities, to your local shops and services and receive a rewarding and enjoyable experience as one of our volunteers.
   
   
3. Attend a ‘Taster’ Session – this is perfect for those people who want to enquire about volunteering for an organisation in a friendly, group environment where there is no pressure to commit. We have sessions coming up whereby people can hear more about volunteer opportunities available at Girl Guides, Suffolk family Carers, Macmillan Cancer relief, CSV Media, etc.
